Tonight there will be a San Diego DUI checkpoint an undisclosed location between 9 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. Saturday through Sunday February 25 – 26, 2012. San Diego Drunk Driving Police will trap drivers, looking for those who appear to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. DUI drivers will be asked to perform voluntary sobriety tests and/or a chemical test; and if over .08%, face a San Diego DUI arrest.

Last night there was a Friday DUI Checkpoint in Chula Vista California near the San Diego Country Club, say San Diego DUI criminal defense lawyers.
620 vehicles were trapped in the San Diego DUI checkpoint in the 300 block of L Street near Third Avenue, say drunk driving attorneys in San Diego. Only 2 suspected DUI drivers were arrested.
This DUI checkpoint was held as part of Chula Vista’s drunk driving arrest efforts.
Officers arrested one person with multiple warrants related to drunken driving who tried to conceal his identity.
A convicted felon was also found to be in possession of a firearm.
Sixteen drivers were cited for driving on a suspended or revoked license or without a license and issued seven other citations.
Yet another DUI checkpoint has been tentatively scheduled for Saturday night in Chula Vista San Diego County.
