The last thing in the world a responsible San Diego citizen unlucky enough to get a DUI wants to do is forget to file proof of completion of MADD meeting or alcohol program or a monthly fine payment to the court, local lawyers suggest.
Because the San Diego California Superior Court keeps track of who does what, every DUI probationer is subject to rigorous compliance, attorneys remind. So pay your fine, do the DUI programs and file proof with court, San Diego lawyers insist.
Otherwise, you could fall victim to this scenario and find yourself back in jail.
On Friday, October 4, 2013, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department’s Court Services Bureau-Field Division staged a San Diego California DUI warrant sweep in the San Diego region, attorneys report. The areas involved in this sweep included downtown San Diego, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla. The focus of the operation was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding San Diego California DUI misdemeanor and felony warrants, lawyers are told.
A total of 11 adults were arrested on misdemeanor warrants and 3 adults were arrested for felony warrants. An overall total of 13 misdemeanor warrants and 3 felony warrants were cleared. The warrant charges included: San Diego California DUI – driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, domestic violence, and petty theft. This San Diego California DUI warrant sweep was funded by the Sheriff’s Warrant System Automation Trust Fund. The trust fund is made up of assessment fees collected from people
who have violated a written promise to appear in court or otherwise failed to comply with a San Diego California DUI court order, attorneys say.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Department will continue its San Diego California DUI efforts in the apprehension of wanted subjects. Persons who have outstanding San Diego California DUI warrants are encouraged to turn themselves in Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at any one of the Sheriff’s Court Facilities.
