This drunk driving roadblock was manned by 15 highly paid DUI sheriff deputies. Overzealous MADD volunteers assisted at the checkpoint by handing out DUI information to drivers. 584 vehicle drivers were unnecessarily delayed by this San Diego DUI checkpoint but there were no DUI arrests.
53 vehicles’ drivers’ personal liberties were further infringed upon as they were unnecessarily directed into a secondary inspection area for harassment as so-called “further (DUI) evaluation.” So 53 hunches all meant nothing?! Not one drunk driver out of 584!
2. On May 25, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. till 1:00 a.m., at 100 W. Mission Road, San Marcos, DUI donut-eating deputies trapped motorists via another wasteful DUI checkpoint in the City of San Marcos.
