San Diego DUI police have been crazy all weekend, busting drivers for drunk drivers in saturation patrols, checkpoints and zealous pursuits, attorneys report.
A total of eighty-seven folks face San Diego DUI memorial day weekend charges during the first thirty-six hours (from friday 6:00 pm to sunday 6:00 am, so far), twenty-nine more than in 2013, California DUI lawyers are told.
Throughout California, over 800 DUI drivers were arrested, which is slightly less than last year.
Fourteen are dead after driving including one San Diego death near Washington and Normal at 2:00 a.m. today. No San Diego deaths happened in 2013.
