San Diego DUI lawyers are told by the California Highway Patrol that fourteen suspected DUI drivers were arrested after having driven on San Diego County’s freeways and in unincorporated areas between about 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Twenty-three suspected drunken drivers were arrested by the CHP in San Diego County in 2013, according to San Diego DUI attorneys.
Good news. Law enforcement agencies throughout the county reported no fatalities during the most recent New Year’s reporting period, compared to one local fatality a year ago, CHP officials said. One person was found in a wrecked truck on state Route 67 in Lakeside minutes after the reporting period ended, and later died in a hospital.
Statewide, CHP officers arrested 324 suspected drunken drivers, 10 fewer than a year ago, the CHP reported. Law enforcement officers throughout the state reported five fatalities this year, compared to four last year, authorities said.
